Unlike round tubing, square tubing requires dies that can contain the material’s sidewalls to prevent outward expansion (bulging) and inward collapse. It is capable of bending mild steel square tube with wall thicknesses up to 0.120″ (approx 1/8″), making it suitable for structural applications.
